This classy pair was made using the ancient art of lost wax casting. I collected the Agapanthus seeds from our front garden and made a plaster mould, into which the melted sterling silver was poured. It's always a bit of an exciting procedure with an uncertain outcome. These seeds turned out beautifully and have such nice detail and shape.
The seed dangles measure approximately 2.2cm in length, 1cm in width and are soldered onto a 0.8mm thick and approximately 9cm long curved ear wire. These beauties were only tumbled and polished, unlike the oxidized antique looking version. These ones have a shinier appearance with a white powdery coated look in the veins of the seeds. It gives this version a more contemporary and clean look.
